Drake Curriculum

The Drake curriculum seeks to provide a meaningful liberal arts education that prepares students for their lives after Drake. This is inseparable from a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion and as such, they are integrated into our curriculum at multiple points

Areas of Inquiry

The Areas of Inquiry requirements are designed to provide students with a solid introduction to a variety of intellectual fields and a diversity of learning experiences.

BLUEprint for Success

BLUEprint for Success is a one-credit hour course for all entering first year students to build community, while exploring concepts and develop skills crucial for development of meaningful personal lives, professional accomplishments, and responsible global citizenship.

National Pan-Hellenic Council (NPHC) (Divine 9)
Drake offers membership in these historically African-American fraternities and sororities through a joint charter with Iowa State University. Members host an array of activities at Drake every year, including a popular step show during the week of the Drake Relays, and are an integral part of the Drake Greek Life system.
